Neuromodulators such as Botox, Dysport, and Jeuveau, are an FDA approved treatment that targets underlying causes of wrinkles and frown lines.  Neuromodulators are injected just under the skin to block acetylcholine in order to allow the muscle to relax, reducing signs of aging, and addressing various wrinkle concerns.  These injections are safe, highly effective, and require zero downtime.  When carefully injected, neuromodulators give skin a smooth and renewed appearance that looks natural.

Treatment only takes 10-15 minutes, and a few very small injections.  Noticeable results should appear 5-7 days after treatment, with full results visible 14 days post treatment.

Results last around 3-4 months, depending on the location of the treatment, your muscle activity and your body’s individual response.

It depends on several factors including: which area(s) you are trying to treat (11s, forehead, crow’s feet, etc), the strength of your facial muscles, and how deep your existing lines are. We recommend a complimentary consultation with our nurse injector to create a plan that is right for you.

Botox/Jeuveau is $11 per unit

Dysport is $4.25 per unit

NOTE: Dysport is less expensive per unit because it typically requires 2.5-3 times the amount of units to achieve the same results as it does with one unit of Botox/Jeuveau.

• Those that are current & active patient with RBA (seeing RBA regularly for weight loss management)

Each type of neuromodulator (Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau) has a chemical composition that is slightly different than the others which can make one more effective than another at specific injection sites. We recommend talking to your injector to understand which product is the best fit for you!

Neuromodulator injections are very common, low risk procedures. Headache and minor bruising or swelling at the injection site are the most common side effects, but rarely occur. As with any treatment, there are always risks which your injector will walk you through prior to treatment. 

If you have one or more of the following, neuromodulators may not be right for you. Please talk to your provider for additional information:

• Psoriasis or eczema in the desired treatment area

• Active Bells palsy

• immunocompromised

• Infection in the treatment area

• Keloidal scarring

• Neuromuscular disorder (e.g., myasthenia gravis, Lambert-Eaton syndrome)

• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding

Injectors at RBA treat the following areas:

• Forehead (frontalis)

• “11’s” - area between the brows/grimacing lines (glabellar complex, corrugator supercili, procerus)

• Crow’s feet (orbicularis oculi)

• Brow lift (orbicularis oculi)

• Bunny lines (nasalis)

• Lip flip (orbicularis oris)

• Smokers lines/lines of the mouth (orbicularis oris)

• Marionette/frown lines (depressor anguli oris/DAO)
